5ive think pot is OK

5ive is taking a controversial stand.

Ritchie and J, two members of the U.K. boy band 5ive, have announced that they think cannabis should be legalized, dotmusic reports.

When J was asked if he felt it should be legalized he answered: "Yeah. Simple as that."

Ritchie added to J's point by explaining why he thought the drug should be legal.

"I'll tell you why - because it grows, it's natural," he said. "If you believe in God, how can anything that grows be illegal? Also, no one who smokes a spliff starts fights like someone who's been drinking."

J and Ritchie aren't the only pop stars who think that cannabis should be legal. In May, Mikey Graham of Boyzone fame announced that he smoked the drug and felt it should be legal.

Mikey lost several sponsorship agreements as a result of his announcement.
