98 in no rush to tour

Although 98 Degrees just released their new album, "Revelation," the group has no plans to hit the road in the very near future.

Unlike some groups that go on tour almost immediately following the release of the a new album, 98 has decided to wait until at least early 2001 before jumping on a bus, the Wall Of Sound website reports.

Instead, Drew, Nick, Jeff and Justin want to spend time pumping their album all over the world before they start performing in cities across North America.

"We're going to take the fall and really concentrate on international [promotion], spend a little time in Asia and Europe," Nick told Wall Of Sound. "We really feel like this is our opportunity to make this a world-wide event. The other part of it is we want the fans out there to have a chance to listen to the new album, get familiar with it. We don't want to have another tour that was off the last album. We want people to know our new music, and be excited about coming to see a show with that [music] in it."

Nick went on to say that he knows past 98 shows have been visually bare, but he hopes that will change on the "Revelation" tour. He emphasized that he didn't want the visuals in the live performances to overshadow the music, but he did say the group is excited about "technologically stepping things up".
