98 performs for AIDs benefit
98 Degrees is joining World AIDS Day 2000.
98, Jessica Simpson, Usher and The Baha Men are on the list of performers for "Music With A Message: World AIDS Day 2000," MTV reports.
Popular MTV "Total Request Live" host Carson Daly and Pink will host the event.
Like last year's show, which boasted *Nsync and Destiny's Child as performers, this year's event will raise money for LIFEbeat's youth HIV prevention programs.
LIFEbeat (the music industry's HIV/AIDS awareness group) and Levi's Jeans are co-sponsoring the show.
A spokesperson for LIFEbeat said that the 1999 show raised over $450,000.
"Music With A Message: World AIDS Day 2000" airs on MTV on Dec. 1.
Tickets for the show go on sale Friday, Oct. 27 at TicketMaster outlets.
