Christina wants to act

It seems as though every pop star wants to act, and Christina Aguilera is no exception.

Christina wants to appear in a movie but she plans on picking her role very carefully.

"Something a little bit quirky, a little off-beat I would hope for," Christina told Launch. "Something that people kind of wouldn't expect - something that requires a little bit of a deep thinker. I really don't want to play the bubble-gum, ditsy-teen pop roles."

Christina said that when she gets a break from recording and touring she'll look over some of the roles she's been offered.

Fellow teen pop star Britney Spears is also rumoured to be considering a jump to movies.
