Christina fans love their beans
KEARNEY, Neb. (AP) -- Forget the genie. These Christina Aguilera fans were looking for tickets in a bottle.
At the Hilltop Mall on Saturday, 30 contestants lined up to dig their way through a tub with 100 pounds of pork and beans in search of a pair of tickets to a local concert by the teen pop singer.
Thirty bottles were buried somewhere in the beans. Half of them contained a pair of tickets to Thursday's concert at the Buffalo County Fair.
It was about the only choice for the fans of Aguilera, whose debut single "Genie In A Bottle" reached No. 1. All 5,800 tickets for the show have sold out.
