Christina explains new album
Christina Aguilera's Spanish album, "Mi Reflejo" is in stores now.
The teenage diva's latest album features six brand-new songs and five translations of her hits, including "Genio Atrapado", a Spanish version of her break-through smash "Genie in a Bottle".
Christina told Allstar that she recorded the album partly because her mother and father love Latin music.
"This album was really important to me," she said. "It's something that I approached my record label early on about, before my debut record was even recorded. I said, 'Eventually I do want to record an entire album in Spanish.' "
Christina also spoke to Allstar about her joint performance with Limp Bizkit's Fred Durst at the MTV Music Awards earlier this month.
"I knew Fred had wanted to do something for a while, but it was something that MTV really put together and approached both of us with. It was cool."
