Christina wows 'em at school
MILWAUKEE (AP) -- It took 1.6 million index cards for Franklin High School students to get a visit from pop star Christina Aguilera.
As 1,300 teen-agers watched, Aguilera and three male backup dancers performed Thursday to prerecorded music. She sang her two hits, "What a Girl Wants" and "Genie in a Bottle," along with a new holiday single.
The brief concert was the school's prize for filling out the index cards and sending them to a contest sponsored by a Milwaukee radio station.
Aguilera's concert "was a little shorter than I expected, but it was good. I'm happy," said sophomore Andrea Larson.
