Marc Anthony sued
Latin pop star Marc Anthony is being sued over his hit song "I Need To Know".
The pop single soared to number three on the Billboard charts in 1999, but a songwriter named Daniel Agren claims he copyrighted a song by the same name in 1989, Rolling Stone reports.
Agren is suing Marc, Sony Music Entertainment, Sony/ATV Tunes, and producer Cory Rooney, stating that all participated in "wrongful use of plaintiff's copyrighted music, lyrics and arrangement".
Marc's lawyer, Orin Snyder, told Rolling Stone that the singer and his producer wrote "I Need To Know" and that "The allegations and the complaint are totally frivolous. We are confident the lawsuit will be dismissed."
