Backstreet's Howie duets with sister

Backstreet's Howie and his sister are planning to team up for a special song.

The Backstreet Boy member and his sister Pollyanna are going to release "Fly to Heaven," a single that will benefit the Lupus Foundation, Live Daily reports.

"Me and my sister recorded a song that she wrote about my sister Caroline, who passed away about a year-and-a-half ago from lupus, Howie said. "Eventually what we want to do is hopefully make that a single and make all the proceeds go to the Lupus Foundation, to raise money for the awareness of the disease and just to hopefully give back to the people."

Howie's sister, Caroline Dorough-Cochran, died in 1998. Howie has been working with Pollyanna on her musical project for a year.

Howie and his sister have released a four-track EP that features "Fly to Heaven," "Andale Mi Corazon," "Take Me Away," and "Don't Wanna Live My Life Without You" (the EP isn't widely available yet).

Donations to the Caroline Dorough-Cochran Lupus Memorial Foundation can be made by calling 407-897-178 or fax at 407-893-9494.

The news of Howie's collaboration with his sister comes after reports that Backstreet's Nick Carter will soon have another sibling in the musical spotlight.

Leslie Carter, Nick's 13-year-old sister, has a contract with DreamWorks Records and plans to release her first single "I Want To Hear It From You" on June 6.

Leslie and Nick's younger brother Aaron is also having a busy year and plans to release his second album on June 20.
