Nick Carter in "People"

"People" magazine has confirmed what millions of teenage girls already know: the Backstreet Boys' Nick Carter is beautiful.

The youngest and blondest Backstreet member was named one of "The 50 Most Beautiful People In The World" by People in the issue that hits newsstands on April 28, MTV reports.

In his short magazine profile, Carter explained his tattoo (a shark):

"[It's] a reflection of my personality," he said. "A shark can be very quiet; it can be very dangerous, it can be very sleek."

Nick isn't the only Backstreet Boys to make the pages of "People". Kevin Richardson was named "Sexiest Pop Star" by the magazine's editors in October.

Other celebrities who made the beautiful cut for the magazine spread include Ricky Martin, Freddie Prinze Jr., Amanda Peet and TLC's Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins.
