Howie D. holds benefit concert
Backstreet Boys member Howie Dorough is honouring his late sister.
Howie and his sisters Angie Haring and Pollyanna Dorough are organizing "Lupus 2000," a benefit concert honouring their late Caroline who died in 1998 from the disease, MTV reports.
Guest performances haven't been firmed up yet but Christina Aguilera, Backstreet's A.J. McLean, Sting, Deborah Cox, LeAnn Rimes, Jordan Knight and Deborah Gibson have all been contacted about the benefit.
Seal, the UK pop star who also has Lupus, has been asked to perform too.
Howie and his sisters will perform "Fly To Heaven," a new song that honours their sister, at the concert.
The show is scheduled for June 25th at Universal Studios in Orlando.
Lupus is a chronic auto-immune disorder that targets the skin, joints and internal organs.
