The Backstreet Boys are gearing up for their big battle against comic-book bad guys.

The pop group will launch their superhero comic online this Sunday at 2 p.m. ET on the Backstreet Project website, EW Online reports.

Sunday's debut episode, the first of 22, is titled "The Cyber Crusaders".

The comic was created by Stan Lee (Spider-Man) and Backstreet's Nick Carter.

Burger King's Backstreet promotion will also kick off on Monday, Aug. 28. As AllPop previously reported, Backstreet CDs and videos will be on sale at the fast-food chain, along with Backstreet Boy action figures fashioned after the new comic.
