Say good-bye to your wooly hats and hello to bright summer dresses and funky T-shirts.
According to Mirella Di Blasio, the Fashion Director for La Senza Girl, this spring will see capri pants, sweats and plaids in a classroom near you.
Having trouble budgeting for new clothes?
"T-shirts with a lot of detailing in the front, glitter, crushed beading, anything with a saying, 'Angel', 'Princess', a number, anything like that will make her happening," said Mirella when asked what item a girl should by if she's on a limited budget.
T-shirts and re-born sweat pants will be popping up on all of your friends this spring. That's because of the whole "casual athletic" trend Mirella says. Razor-back tank-tops and taping along the legs of pants will help you look comfy and sporty.
Accessories like scooter cuffs (basically gym sweatbands) decorated with hearts and stars are also being used to update the sporty look along with sun visors in funky colours and bright flip flops.
As for hip colours, look for clothes in "sorbets" such as melon, lime, lilac and lavenders.
What's this season's major fashion faux pas?
"Long floral skirts," says Mirella, "that would definitely be a faux pas, and little headkerchiefs."
