Jordan Knight does good

By MIKE ROSS -- Edmonton Sun

JORDAN KNIGHT
Jordan Knight
(Interscope/Universal INTD-9933)

Album Cover Two former members of New Kids on the Block are back (the other being Joey McIntyre) to ride the boy-group trend into the next millennium, so to speak.

One of these albums is surprisingly worthy - a light R&B-spiced collection of love songs designed to poke the romantic soft spots of the most hardened hearts. Sugarloaf's Green-Eyed Lady is mangled for the opening track, A Different Way. And a strange song called Give It To You is particularly innovative. Much of the rest strains the sappy-o-meter, but at least it has an honest ring to it.

And now, to tell them apart: Knight rhymes with "right" and that's the good one. Stay the Same is something that creative artists shouldn't do.

That's the lame one. Easy.
