Jennifer Lopez's taste for loud parties got her into trouble on Friday.

The singer/actress spent the night celebrating her 2000 Versace Award at the VH1/Vogue Fashion Awards, with famous friends at the Hudson Hotel in New York when things got a little noisy, Wall Of Sound reports.

Other celebrities partying with Jennifer included, Kate Hudson ("Almost Famous"), Moby, Liv Tyler, Chris Rock and Christian Slater.

At 3 in the morning, Jennifer and her friends started heading outside into the hotel garden when other guests at the hotel and neighbours started complaining.

The police were called in, and the volume of the party was eventually lowered.
