Mandy's acting talents
Mandy Moore is helping kids overcome their fears.
The young singer is now famous for touring with the Backstreet Boys and for her hit single "Candy", but before she was a music star, she gave acting a try, MTV reports.
Mandy appears in a new home video titled "Magic Al & The Mind Factory", in which she plays a character named Brittany Foster. Brittany is the older sister to the main character, Tazz. The two enjoy adventures when their parents move into a Victorian mansion haunted by Magic Al and his assistant, Mr. Music.
Mandy made the movie in the spring of 1998 in Florida. The video is part of a campaign titled "Monsters Be Gone!", which tries to teach children ways to get over their fears.
"Magic Al & The Mind Factory" will premiere in Orlando on April 26 and is expected to be released on video in the fall.
In more Mandy news, the singer is now working on her next video for the song "I Wanna Be With You", and a limited edition of her album "So Real" will be released on May 9. The album will include new tracks and "I Wanna Be With You".
