Mandy Moore's debut movie
Mandy Moore has lofty goals that include a new album and a big-screen debut.
The teen pop singer will soon be heading to Los Angeles to start filming "The Princess Of Tribeca," which will be her first movie, MTV reports.
The film also stars Julie Andrews ("Sound of Music"). According to Mandy, the young singer will play a "mean, rude, crude, popular girl".
While Mandy is filming the movie, she'll also begin work on her next album. This time, Mandy plans to do more writing for the album and and wants to use more real instruments.
The singer will spend October and November in the studio. She hopes to have the new album in stores by March or April 2001.
Mandy's debut album, "So Real" was released in 1999, and she recently produced a collection of remixes and new songs on an album titled "I Wanna Be With You", which was released earlier this year.
