Mandy Moore preps album, movie

Mandy Moore is getting over her tonsillectomy and plans to get back into the recording studio next week.

The 16-year-old singer had to take a break from singing due to the operation, but Mandy's third album is still scheduled for release in March, Sonicnet.com reports.

The as yet untitled album will be noticeably different from Mandy's debut album "So Real" and last year's "I Wanna Be With You," which featured new songs and remixes.

"I'm so excited about it because it's not what you might expect," the singer said about the album.

Mandy's March release will be her first to feature live instruments throughout the whole album.

On top of preparing her new album, Mandy has also been working on "The Princess Of Tribeca," a film that will mark the singer's big-screen debut.

The film is about a teenager who discovers she's actually a princess.

"The Princess Of Tribeca" is expected to be released this summer.
