*Nsync are definitely not working on "Grease 3".
Last year the five group members made their way to the Cannes Film Festival to announce their plans to make a movie together.
The boys told reporters that they'd "most likely" end up making "Grease 3" together and were reportedly working on the sequel with the Total Film Group, a California production company.
But the group wasn't able to win the rights to the "Grease" name or the characters so now Total Films is scrambling to find another film for *Nsync and trying to work out the "Grease" problem, MTV reports.
And now, according to the band's Lance Bass, though, the five *Nsync-ers might never make it to the big screen in the same film.
Lance and fellow group member Joey will, however, hit the screen together this fall in a romantic comedy titled "On The Line".
"I think if you had all five guys of 'NSYNC, people really wouldn't take the movie seriously," Bass told MTV. "This way, there's a couple of us in it, and it's a real movie. It really stands up on its own."
"On The Line" is about a young man (Lance), working in an advertising agency, who meets his dream girl on the Chicago "L" train. Unfortunately for Lance's character, the girl leaves the train without giving him her name or number. The rest of the movie finds Lance's character searching for the girl.
Meanwhile, Joey has been working on two different independent movies: "The Bros.", in which he plays the victim of violence, and "My Big Fat Greek Wedding", in which he has a small part and which is scheduled for release this year.
While his fellow group members are busy making movies, *Nsync star Chris Kirkpatrick is thinking about fashion.
The singer is in Toronto today (Thursday, May 3) and will appear live on MuchMusic at 4 p.m. (ET) to discuss his new clothing line.
