Nobody's Angel joins the pop crowd

A new band is getting ready to refresh the girl-powered pop world.

Nobody's Angel is made up of Ali Navarro, Stacey Harper, Sarah Smith and Amy Sue Hardy.

The four girls met through dance schools and auditions, and say the Nobody's Angel phenomenon has snowballed since then.

Although their debut album, "Nobody's Angels" was just released this month, the girls are already spinning from guest spots, performances and glamorous parties.

The group had a guest appearance on ABC's "Boy Meets World" where they played "I Can't Help Myself". Sarah says they had a fantastic time on the show.

The girls also appear in Justin Timberlake's (from 'N Sync) Disney movie called "Model Behavior". The girls won the lucky role as the band playing at the prom during the movie's dance scene. Nobody's Angel also appeared on the "Parent Trap" soundtrack.

Here at AllPop, we have the sneaking suspicion that pop music fans might be hearing more about Nobody's Angels in the near future, so we decided to get the scoop on the group members.

Calling from L.A., Stacey, Sarah, Amy Sue and Ali can hardly contain their excitement about the way things are working out. Talking to each girl individually, it's easy to tell that that each one has something special to offer to Nobody's Angels so here's a description of the girls in their own words.

Stacey, 23:

Favourite song from the album: " 'Absolutely Maybe'. It's really cool and funky, I just like the beat of it. It's the one song I just blast in my jeep".

Strength: "I have a big mouth, that's my strength. Whatever needs to be said - they [the other members] whisper it in my ear and I say it. I'm kind of like the spokesperson. I'm the mouth of the group.

Favourite musical artist: Prince

Cool person she's met with Nobody's Angel: Justin Timberlake. "He's really cool, he's almost like, kind of shy. He's very cute. I never realized how tall he is, and I was like 'ooohhh, all righty then'".

Goal for Nobody's Angel: "I want to be able to say 'Thank you, Japan, we love you, goodnight!' Just 'cause it's so far away from here. I really want to travel around the world.

Sarah, 20

Favourite song(s) from the album: "Keep Me Away", "Nobody", "Absolutely Maybe"

Strength: Dancing "I started dancing when I was four, and I haven't stopped."

Favourite musical artist(s): Janet & Michael Jackson, Madonna

Cool person she's met with Nobody's Angel: Meg Ryan "Our first public appearance we did at the premiere of "Parent Trap". Meg Ryan is my all-time favourite star ever and afterwards, at the after party, I like, saw her from across the room and it was like, in slow motion.

We met her and our producer got a photographer and we got some publicity pictures taken with her that ended up in Entertainment Weekly the next week. That was like, the highlight of my year last year."

Goal for Nobody's Angel: "It would be really nice to do some acting as a group. Maybe do a TV show, a series. My favourite, favourite show ever is "Friends". I kind of want to model it like that, but younger." Sarah also said she'd love to go on tour with the Backstreet Boys or 'N Sync.

Ali Navarro, 21

Favourite song(s) from the album: " 'Keep Me Away' really means a lot to me because it's something that I kind of went through growing up in high school. It's about having somebody that you totally really, really care about and having strict parents or somebody in your life saying no, that's not possible and wanting to do anything you possibly can to be with that one person you care about." Ali also likes "Absolutely Maybe".

Strength: Promoter, PR. "I'm very social. I'm sending out postcards, flyers, making phone calls, answering letters, visiting our local Sam Goodies, telling them we're locals and please try to help us out."

Cool person she's met with Nobody's Angel: J.C. Chasez from 'N Sync. "Two weeks ago, we went to a Teen People magazine party. 'N Sync was there and I'm a huge fan of 'N Sync but I really, really, really like J.C. I think he's pretty cool.

I sat on the railing [at the party] and I felt someone tapping me on the shoulder, so I turned around and it was J.C.! And I was like 'ahhh' and he was like 'Do you mind if I sit next to you? And I was like 'No, not at all!' And so he sat right next to me with his butt on my left thigh for the whole 15 minutes of Britney [Spears'] performance. I was speechless, I couldn't say anything at all."

Goal for Nobody's Angel: "I'd definitely love, in the next six months, to get on a huge tour, like 'N Sync, Backstreet Boys or 98 Degrees, something major to get more exposure and then hit Europe. Our goal is one day to do a weekly sitcom and incorporate our songs or a video in it once a week.

Amy Sue, 23

Favourite song(s) off the album: "I Can't Help Myself", "If You Wanna Dance" and "Absolutely Maybe".

Strength: "I am the one that likes to put everything in order. I go through the contracts and work on the technical paper work side of things. Some times I'm the counsellor too. I have a big shoulder".

Favourite artist(s): Stevie Wonder, Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys

Most exciting thing that's happened with Nobody's Angels: "My most exciting experience has been when we worked with a live band. It was the first opportunity for us to do it together. Everybody had a good time, and I was just in heaven."

Goal: "To tour with the Backstreet Boys, that would be incredible, we need to do a tour."
