S Club heart-break

One S Club 7 star is suffering from a broken heart.

Hannah Spearritt, the tiny UK pop and TV star, and "EastEnders" star Jack Ryder have broken up, the London Sun reports.

Jack was busy filming the UK soap while Hannah was in California filming the next instalment of the S Club 7 TV series, and the long-distance relationship eventually came to a halt.

"It all started fine when Hannah flew to Los Angeles in January. They spoke to each other quite a lot on the phone," a friend of the couple told The Sun. "But the calls soon stopped because of the time difference and their schedules. It's a shame, but the pair hope to stay friends."

Jack and Hannah met at the Smash Hits Poll party, where Jack won best actor and S Club 7 won Best New Act.
