S Club boys in dope trouble
The boys of S Club 7 have apologized to their fans for their momentary lapse of judgment.
Jon Lee, Paul Cattermole and Bradley McIntosh of the successful U.K. pop group were stopped in London on Tuesday by police, who smelled marijuana on the singers, The London Sun reports.
A small amount of marijuana was found on them, and the boys received a "formal caution" from the Scotland Yard after being held at the police station for several hours.
"We have been very stupid, we know we've made a mistake and we're very sorry," read a statement that Jon, Paul and Bradley released Wednesday.
A spokesman from Universal Canada told AllPop she had just learned of the S Club incident and had no statement.
