Savage Garden top rich list
Savage Garden are Australia's highest-paid entertainers.
Business Review Weekly's yearly report put the pop duo (Savage Garden) at the very top of the list for the second year in a row, Variety reports.
The group's yearly earnings for 1999 were estimated to be about $18.3 million.
Actors Nicole Kidman and Geoffrey Rush both nabbed second place, earning $11.3 million each. "Elizabeth" star Cate Blanchett slid in at seventh place with $5.6 million.
Tribute band Bjorn Again coasted into eighth place on the new wave of ABBA fever with $5.5 million, just above the children's video franchise "Bananas In Pyjamas", which earned $4.3 million.
Although Australian native Mel Gibson's worth is estimated at $45.5 million, he didn't make Business Review Weekly's list because last year he announced he would never live in Australia again.
