Savage Garden tops charts

Savage Garden is a Canadian favourite.

Savage Garden's "Affirmation" went straight into the SoundScan Canada charts at No. 1 this week, selling almost 24,000 copies across the country.

The album did almost as well in the U.S., where it debuted in the No. 6 , selling more than 150,000 copies.

Savage Garden have sold more than 12 million copies worldwide of their debut, including 1 million in Canada.

Hits such as "To The Moon & Back", "I Want You" and "Truly Madly Deeply" from the first album became radio and fan favourites.

Besides selling millions of albums, the band's enjoyed professional recognition and were named the best-selling Australian artists at the World Music Awards.
