Sky returns with new album

Sky will release a second CD.

Sky's Antoine Sicotte will release "Travelling Infinity" in November 2000, without the help of James (Jay) Renault.

James left the pop duo this year claiming that he was uncomfortable being in the public eye.

Despite the loss of James, Antoine opted to hold on to Sky's success; the group's debut album, "Piece of Paradise" went double platinum and the Best New Group award went to Sky at this year's Juno Awards.

Antoine teamed up with new singer/lyricist Anastasia for "Travelling Infinity". Sky's new single, "Superhero", will be released on Aug. 21.

However, fans eager to hear new music from the Canadian pop group can listen to "Superhero" on EMI Music Canada's website right now, as well as see new photos.

As for James, he plans to continue making music but wants to avoid the spotlight.

In an interview with JAM! Music in March, James explained why he decided to leave Sky just as the group was getting more and more attention.

"I want to be behind the scenes," he said. "I definitely do not want to be in the spotlight. Now I'm really enjoying myself, for the first time in a while. Not that the Sky thing specifically was bad, but that lifestyle, being an artist, being in the spotlight, was just not for me. If it was Sky or any other band, it wouldn't have made a difference. I just couldn't handle it."
