Britney honoured by hometown museum
Two hundred inner-city kids are hoping that they are chosen for Britney Spears' summer camp.
Dotmusic reports that the pop queen is handpicking the names of 85 kids from a list of 200 students nominated by teachers in the New York area.
Those who are picked will be sent away this summer to camp in the countryside, all expenses paid.
A spokeswoman for Spears told Dotmusic, "It's really tough because there's no reason why any of the kids who have been nominated shouldn't get through, but we can only take 85. We're still sorting out exactly who will be teaching the kids, but it will certainly include Britney's choreographer and singing teacher, and Britney's planning on dropping in too."
