Britney staying single
Britney's not getting married.
Yesterday, rumours that the princess of pop and *Nsync's Justin Timberlake were engaged started spreading across entertainment websites and papers all over the world but AllPop suspected that the rumours were false.
Today, Britney's record label, Jive Records, released a statement on the singer's behalf concerning the marriage rumours, MTV reports.
"Contrary to what has been erroneously reported, Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake are neither engaged nor married," the statement read. "The story, which began in the British tabloid 'News Of The World,' is, not surprisingly, completely without merit."
Britney and Justin met when they were both young stars on Disney's "The Mickey Mouse Club". The are rumoured to be dating but neither of them has said much about the rumoured relationship.
