More Britney & Prince William rumours
The U.K. press just won't leave Britney alone.
The latest rumour about the princess of pop is that officials at Buckingham Palace have asked Britney to leave Prince William alone, dotmusic reports.
The rumour is that officials think Britney has become slightly obsessed with the 18-year-old prince, and they've started to intercept her letters to William.
The story, which ran in the "Daily Record", claimed that Britney has been sending William a steady stream of letters and photos and that officials "made a polite and civil request" that Britney tone down her mail-outs.
This is just one of the many rumours concerning Britney and Prince William that have circulated this year. Others included news that Britney was planning to buy a house near one of the royal family's vacation homes and that Christina Aguilera had sent the prince photos of herself to make Britney jealous.
In more believable Britney news, the singer has joined a team of pop stars who are campaigning to clear the name of jailed rapper Keith Murray, NME reports.
The rapper was sentenced to five years in 1998 after being convicted for assaulting the brother of a concert promoter in Connecticut.
Murray continues to declare his innocence. Britney, LL Cool J and more were present during a press conference in New York last week where Murray's lawyers presented new evidence.
