Advice-giver angry with Britney
Britney Spears is about to kick off her stint as an online advice giver with the BBC, and one U.K. love columnist isn't thrilled with the prospect.
Britney plans to dole out advice to teens for two weeks, starting Sept. 8, on BBC Online, but Claire Rayner, a popular advice columnist in the U.K. thinks it's a bad idea, Q Online reports.
"This makes me so angry I'm not sure I should respond," she said. "I'm sure Britney means well, but being an agony aunt is a real job and a major responsibility. People writing in are often genuinely troubled and desperate for serious answers which someone like Britney, who has a totally unreal life, is utterly unqualified to provide."
One of Britney's spokespeople defended her, explaining that the pop star has had crushes on boys and arguments with her mom about her curfew, and that the two-week project will be directed toward children between the ages of 13 and 15.
