Britney Spears, LL Cool J to team up

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- A collaboration between Britney Spears and LL Cool J is in the works.

Spears, who was tapped last month to be the host of the 28th annual American Music Awards, is now sharing those duties with the Grammy-winning actor and hip-hop artist.

The three-hour music awards show will air Jan. 8 from Los Angeles on ABC. Producer Dick Clark announced on Monday that LL Cool J would join the program.

Country singer Faith Hill led nominees with four, while Marc Anthony and rock band Creed got three nods apiece.

Aerosmith is getting the AMA's Award of Achievement.
