Madonna, Britney team up
The former pop princess and the reigning queen of bubble gum love songs
are planning to team up.
Madonna and Britney Spears are planning to enter the studio together
this May, MTV reports.
Both Britney and Madonna's managers said the two music stars have been
talking, although nothing has been finalized yet.
Since Britney's third album is scheduled for release late in the spring
or early in the summer, there is some speculation that a Madonna/Britney
collaboration might appear on the new Britney album.
Madonna recently said she's a fan of the teen pop star. She even
performed on stage in a Britney T-shirt.
During a recent interview with Elle magazine, Madonna even came to
Britney's defence.
"I find it really irritating that everyone beats up on Britney. I want
to do nothing but support her and praise her and wish her the best,"
Madonna said.
Meanwhile, Britney herself claims to be a devoted Madonna fan.
"She does what she likes and she doesn't care what anybody thinks,"
Britney said about Madonna. "She's like, 'This is me -- you like me or
you don't.' "
