Baby Spice in the movies

Baby Spice is going to the movies.

Emma Bunton has signed on for the lead role in a new comedy, the Daily Mirror reports.

The pop star hopes to say goodbye to her innocent image in the film about a group of women on a club holiday who spend their time enjoying sangria and the opposite sex.

The movie will be shot in location in Ibiza in August.

"It was a great to get Emma to play one of the main characters," a movie insider told The Mirror. "Obviously, people know her as a singer, but she's really impressed everyone at the audition with her acting. Em is going to surprise a lot of people. She's going to be fantastic in this role. Her character is a bit of a tearaway - nothing like her image in the Spice Girls."

The movie is being described as "Full Monty On The Beach".
