Scary delays solo release
Mel B is delaying the release of her debut solo album in an effort to avoid competition with Radiohead.
Scary Spice's album "Hot" will be released on Oct. 9 in the U.K., a week after Radiohead's latest album "Kid A" hits the shelves, The London Sun reports.
Her album was scheduled to come out at the same time as "Kid A" but record company execs at Virgin Records reportedly felt that Scary wouldn't have a chance to reach number one if she went up against Radiohead.
Mel is said to be determined to see her album go to number 1 in the U.K., especially since her single "Word Up," released in the U.K. only made it to number 14 last summer.
