Posh Spice lashes out at book's claims
Victoria and David Beckham are fighting back at accusations that they fabricated an incident involving their son Brooklyn and a crazed fan.
A new biography about Posh Spice and her soccer-star husband implies the couple made up a story about a fan trying to grab their son Brooklyn in Harrod's department store in London, possibly in an effort to help David Beckham slip out of a speeding charge, ITN reports.
"Victoria and David Beckham strongly refute suggestions that an 'incident' involving Brooklyn outside Harrods was in any way made up or fabricated," read a statement on the couple's behalf. "They are disappointed that these and various other allegations have been given any credence."
The book, titled "Posh And Becks", will be in U.K. bookstores on Oct. 12. It is currently being serialized in the U.K. magazine Hello.
