Spices in TV frenzy

A U.K. TV documentary has the Spice Girls in a frenzy.

The show is a five-year-old tape featuring footage of Baby, Sporty, Scary and Posh while they all lived together and before they were famous, The London Sun reports.

British TV station ITV plans to air the documentary in the spring, although the girls have reportedly tried to hinder their plans, claiming they own the rights to the tape.

The Sun reports that ITV is determined to show the special. The station bosses are said to be particularly exasperated with Posh Spice (Victoria Beckham) over her difficult behaviour when they were planning a documentary on her husband, David Beckham.

Victoria demanded that certain scenes be edited out of David's documentary because they made him seem unintelligent and made her sound like a bad parent, according to the report.

"We really want to get this on air - it shows for the first time who the Spice Girls really are," an ITV insider told The Sun. "It is raw footage and is fascinating in the light of what the girls became. Not surprisingly they don't want us to show it, and solicitors' letters have been flying around. But we really want to put it out - especially because of the way Posh behaved."
