The Spice Girls' latest album is missing in action in the U.K.
"Forever," the girls' current record, has now disappeared from the U.K. charts after just two months, The London Sun reports.
Emma Bunton (Baby Spice) told the paper that the Spice Girls have accepted defeat and will not release another single from "Forever" or tour as a group this year.
Each of the Spices is now working on her own project and doesn't have time to promote material from the Spice album, Emma said.
"I was surprised by the reaction to the album but I don't consider it to be a failure - it sold two million copies world wide. There won't be another single, and the record seems to have come to a natural end," Emma told The Sun. "I want to concentrate on solo projects, and there is no time to release a single now."
"Forever" was beaten to the U.K.'s top slot by Westlife's "Coast To Coast". The Spice album didn't do well in North America, either.
In more Spice-related news, Mel B (Scary Spice) has passed on the pop music bug to her younger sister.
Nineteen-year-old Danielle Brown has just signed a record deal, and her first song will be a duet with Wayne Williams, her ex-boyfriend.
Danielle's solo debut album is expected to be released later this year.
