Oh Aaron, don't quit that paper route

Aaron, oh Aaron, thanks to your new album, you're risking your five-year career.
Adolescent Aaron Carter released his new album, "Oh Aaron" on August 7th of 2001. As he matures into his teens, you'd think that Nick Carter's little bro would have just as much class and flair as a Backstreet Boy. Guess again.

According to Aaron Carter's Official Web Site (www.aaroncarter.com) Aaron claims, "If Nick wasn't a singer, then I wouldn't be here." Buddy, you're absolutely right! Aaron Carter will everlastingly live under Nick's reputation, and this shows on the album. You can catch Nick's contributing voice in the track "Not Too Young, Not Too Old" and in the calypso tune "Oh Aaron", which is about Nick saving little Aaron out of some trouble.
The way I see it, Aaron should try to gain his own sound and status without his famous multi-million dollar brother.
Jive Records' new pop girl band, No Secrets, also loan their voices on the "Oh Aaron" song and Aaron's remake of the 1983 "Break My Stride" hit called "Stride (Jump On The Fizzy)". Gee, it seems as though Aaron is trying to jump onto the bandwagon of remaking old hits.
Aaron has a good reason for asking other artists to join in on "Oh Aaron" - he hardly sings himself. Instead, thirteen-year-old Carter sounds like he's trying to subtly challenge Lil' Bow Wow into a rhyming battle. Of course if that happened, Lil' Bow Wow would triumph all the way!
Maybe Aaron's producers suggested he attempt rapping rhymes because his voice box is going through some puberty changes. Aaron Carter's rapping include cheesy words and phrases such as "da bomb", "bounce", "fizzy" (?) and "The name is AC", making himself sound like he's trying too hard to be part of the "in" crowd of pop and rap. However, you must give Aaron kudos for his clean lyrics. Do you hear about sex or violence in Carter's rhymes? Nope. Although the album is totally appalling, the language is suitable for your three-year-old cousin.
In 1997, Edel Record Company signed Aaron when an executive saw him perform during a BSB concert. In his first few years of performing, Aaron became known as the youngest artist to have four successive top 40 singles in the United Kingdom. His previous albums include the self-titled "Aaron Carter" and the Jive Records labelled Aaron's "Party: Come Get It". "Oh Aaron" is Carter's third album.
Aaron Carter, take my word of advice: to be on the safe side, don't quit that paper route. "Oh Aaron" is forcing you to balance on the tip of your career. Sure you've got big bro Nick by your side, but you aren't proving to us that you are NOT just the Backstreet Boy's baby sibling. There must be talent somewhere in your voice, so drop the rapping and start singing!
