Dream Confusion

I opened up the door,
And I'm sorry that I swore.
An old, ugly woman scared me.
She was green, with lumps and hairy.
During the night I screamed.
I found out it was a dream.
Thank goodness it wasn't true
Or I'd be turning deep, deep blue!
Then just yesterday she came,
Only this time with a cane.
Her skin was green no more,
When I opened up the door.
She smiled then said, "Hi!"
I truly thought I'd cry.
My mom said, "Hey there Danny!"
"This is my mom, your Granny."
I thought it was a dream,
But I knew that I did scream.
My mom said, "Aren't those the rules?"
"Hey Danny, April Foolz!"
