Tom's friends say he's not married

OTTAWA - Friends of Tom Green have been invited to a July wedding, despite claims from the notorious schemer that he is already married.
A high school friend was instructed last week to call Jackie Stern, who works for Green's manager. Stern invited the friend to L.A. on July 7 for Tom and fiancee Drew Barrymore's wedding.
Stern told the friend more detailed information would be available in the next three weeks. Despite some mild skepticism, the friend purchased a plane ticket to L.A.
Stern, however, vehemently denied the report yesterday, insisting that Green and Barrymore were already married.
"I have no idea where that report came from. As far as I know, they're married," Stern told the Sun from Los Angeles. "It was done out of the country."
Stern said Green sported a wedding band throughout the weekend.
But Green's longtime friend, who refused to be named, was convinced that the latest rumour was yet another lie to add to the comedian's already impressive web of deceit and wacky publicity stunts.
"I can tell you right now they're not married," the friend said.
Green and Barrymore have been lying about their marriage plans for several months as part of a game to mislead the media. On the weekend, Green even said that he and Barrymore had adopted a child.
