Kate Hudson picks up Paltrow project
Oscar-nominated "Almost Famous" star Kate Hudson has signed for a new romantic comedy originally intended for Gwyneth Paltrow, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The film, "How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days", is about a single man who runs through a string of relationships before entering into a bet that he can stay in a relationship for more than 10 days -- but then woos a woman who is determined to dump him.
The project is based on the self-help book of the same title.
Mike Newell ("Four Weddings And A Funeral," "Donnie Brasco") was originally scheduled to direct the project, but the director's chair is currently vacant. The producers are looking for someone to oversee the project, The Hollywood Reporter said.
