Reese Witherspoon to star in tennis movie
"Legally Blonde" star Reese Witherspoon's next "love" scene will be on a tennis court.
Variety reports that Witherspoon is set to star in a film about the world of women's tennis, from a script by screenwriter Bruce Miller ("Providence"). The untitled project will be financed by Intermedia, the report said.
"I've always been a fan of women's tennis, and I'm really excited that Intermedia came on board to help bring this project to fruition," Witherspoon told Variety.
Intermedia's Basil Iwanyk returned the compliment.
"As she has shown in 'Election' and 'Legally Blonde,' Reese has terrific edge, heart and humour," he told Variety.
"That, coupled with the inherent craziness of women's tennis, should make for a great movie."
