Hanson visits 'Sabrina'
On Jan. 11, the cast of "Sabrina, The Teenage Witch," will get a visit from both a vintage TV spell-caster and a teen pop act.
Barbara Eden, star of the '60s TV show "I Dream Of Jeannie", and pop act Hanson will appear on the upcoming episode, zap2it.com reports.
Barbara will play Sabrina's mean aunt, while Hanson will serenade the "Sabrina" cast with a new song from their upcoming album.
During the show, Isaac Hanson (the oldest of the Hanson brothers) will play Roxie's (Soleil Moon Frye) ex-boyfriend. Isaac and his brothers, Zac and Taylor, serenade Roxie at the soup kitchen where she volunteers.

Hanson & Ben Folds onstage together
The Hanson boys got a chance to jump onstage with one of their favourite musicians on Tuesday night.
Zac, Taylor and Isaac Hanson joined Ben Folds on an L.A. stage to sing his song "Kate", cdnow.com reports.
While the piano-playing musician was back onstage for an encore, a tech expert came on to the stage and whispered something to Folds.
"We have a special guest -- three special guests," he said. "The Hanson Brothers."
The Hansons are now working on the follow-up to their album "This Time Around".

Reader Article: Hanson Gives Back
by Rebecca Dustin
My cousin Rae-Anne was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis (CF) ten years ago. Cystic fibrosis affects the lungs and the digestive system. Many Canadians, including myself, have been active in the fight against this incurable disease since the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation was founded in 1940.
In addition to helping with all the fundraising my family was doing in my hometown, I decided to start a cystic fibrosis web site in 1998. As a result, "The HMH - Fans With Cystic Fibrosis" was born. It's a page for Hanson fans with CF dedicated to my cousin Rae and other children living with this disease. One year later, I decided to contact Hanson's manager about a silent auction my family was holding.
The band generously donated an autographed magazine to our cause. The magazine went for $250 USD. The next year, Hanson donated an autographed copy of their latest album, "This Time Around". The raffle raised $370 CND. This year, we've been given another autographed magazine and it will be raffled off on September 8, 2001 in Napierville, Qc, Canada (near Montréal) during a cystic fibrosis carwash.
There will be other Hanson fans and plenty of Hanson music. We'll also be giving away "This Time Around" and "If Only" singles to some of the customers. Anyone may join us at the carwash. If you cannot attend, you may still purchase raffle tickets. All you need to do is check out the official raffle and carwash site: here.

Hanson team with legendary songwriters, film documentary
Hanson has already worked with Matthew Sweet and ex-New Radical Gregg Alexander. Now the boys have added an iconic singer-songwriter to their list of collaborators.
Carole King, famous for her '70s album "Tapestry", teamed up with Isaac, Taylor and Zac at Miles Copeland's "songwriting bootcamp" in France to write and demo two brand new songs: "Let You Go" and "One More Time", Rolling Stone reports.
"It was scary," Zac told Rolling Stone. "Afterwards, I was talking to Tay and I was like, 'You know, when I was writing with Carole ...' and then I sat down and thought, 'What am I doing? I'm calling Carole King by her first name!'"
The three blond pop stars also teamed up with Ed Robertson of the Barenaked Ladies and Donny Brown of the Verve Pipe to write a third song in France, titled "Never Love Again".
Up next for Hanson is a working session with Glen Ballard, the producer and arranger who has worked with Alanis Morissette and Dave Matthews. Ballard is a possible producer for their next album, the follow-up to "This Time Around," which was released last spring to good reviews but poor record sales.
Hanson plans to enter a Los Angeles studio next month with almost 40 songs, including those written with Carole King and a song called "Underneath" that they wrote with Matthew Sweet and is being considered as a possible title track. Another song Hanson wrote with Sweet is called "I Almost Care". It is also being considered for the album.
In more Hanson news, the boys are directing their own documentary about the making of their album, their collaborations with famous musicians, and everyday life as a member of Hanson. The movie is titled "Your Illusion" and is being filmed by all three brothers on digital video.
"It's a documentary of the album-making process and sort of the whole gauntlet of things that go on," Taylor said. "From the beginning of an album to the end. It's like, 'Here's what you think we are, and here's what we really are.' We wanna take it to Sundance, see if we can get it into festivals."

Hanson in the movies
The Hanson boys are expanding their talents.
Taylor, Zac, and Isaac will appear in the movie "Frank McKlusky, C.I.", which will hit theatres next year, Allstar reports.
The comedy is about a keen insurance-claims adjuster. It stars Randy Quaid, Andy Richter, Chyna, Tracy Morgan, Scott Baio, and Dolly Parton.
The group will portray themselves during one scene in the film that will show the main character, Frank McKlusky, chasing someone through a Hanson concert.
Some Hanson music is expected to appear on the "Frank McKlusky, C.I." soundtrack.
In more Hanson news, the boys are planning to go into an L.A. studio within the next two to three weeks to start recording their third studio album.
Hanson released "This Time Around" last year to good reviews but disappointing record sales. They plan to work with Matthew Sweet and Gregg Alexander (formerly of New Radicals) on the new album.
