O-Town set to release new album

O-Town addicts will get their fix in three months.

The group born on the reality show "Making The Band" is expected to release their next album on July 9, MTV reports.

The untitled album's first single will be "I Showed Her". It is expected to hit radio in May. Another track, "Favorite Girl," was written and produced by rapper Nelly. O-Town themselves are credited with writing three other tracks on the album.

A recent episode of the series focused on the group members' songwriting frustration as some of their self-penned numbers were given a thumbs down by Clive Davis, who runs their label J Records.

Below is a list of O-Town's upcoming tour dates, according to J Records:

5/15 - Poughkeepsie, NY @ Mid-Hudson Civic Center

  • 5/17 - Wallingford, CT @ Careerbuilder.com Oakdale Theatre
  • 5/19 - Lowell, MA @ Paul E. Tsongas Arena
  • 5/21 - Portland, ME @ Cumberland Civic Center
  • 5/23 - Lincroft, NJ @ Brookdale Performing Arts Center
  • 5/25 - Portsmouth, VA @ NTELOS Pavilion @ Harbor Center

    O-Town DVD available

O-Town's DVD hit stores on Tuesday, so if you've missed this boy band's live show, you still have a chance to watch them croon.

Jacob, Dan, Trevor, Ashley, and Erik's DVD (and home video) is titled "O-Town Live From New York". The film features the group's hour-long show from their Oct. 10th performance at the Hammerstein Ballroom, MTV reports.

"Live From New York" will also include the music videos for "Liquid Dreams", "All Or Nothing", and "We Fit Together", in addition to biographies of each group member.

O-Town is currently opening for Britney Spears and will finish the tour on Dec. 21 in Washington, D.C. The group plans to make their way to Germany in February for nine shows.

O-Town is, of course, the boy band formed on ABC's reality show "Making The Band".
