'Angel' creator fuels rumour

The characters of the WB's "Angel" could be making their way back to their fictional hometown of Sunnydale to visit "Buffy The Vampire Slayer".

At the Museum of Television and Radio's 18th Annual William S. Paley Festival, show creator Joss Whedon and stars David Boreanaz and Charisma Carpenter spoke with an audience, zap2it.com reports.

The show's co-creator and executive producer, David Greenwalt, said that the characters would be venturing outside of L.A. during the season's final three episodes. Meanwhile, on "Buffy", the title character's mother just died and rumours are flying over the Internet that Angel and his gang are making their way to Sunnydale for the funeral.

"Eventually the story starts telling us what's going to happen," said Whedon. "Some of it's planned and some of it isn't."
