As the season finale of "Buffy" draws closer, rumours about the upcoming bloody battle are flying across the Internet.

"Buffy" creator Joss Whedon isn't doing anything to lay those rumours to rest. He recently shed a bit more light on the emotional finale in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

"There's going to be a brutal fight, and not everyone is going to get out alive," he said. "Someone may be leaving the show, and that's all I'm going to say about it."

Joss went on to say that another "Buffy" spin-off is being considered, although he wouldn't say anything else about a potential new show.

He added that the "Buffy" animated series that will air on Fox Kids is expected to debut in about a year.
