Details on 'Buffy' musical

"Buffy" creator Joss Whedon is getting excited about an all-song/dance episode of the supernatural show.

Whedon jokingly posted a message on the Buffy.com message board recently in which he moaned about the possible outcome of the musical show, saying it could be "the worst hour of TV ever made," TV Guide reports.

But Whedon told TV Guide that in reality, he has high hopes for the unconventional episode.

"It's about what it's like to live in a musical world," he said, "because all our guys are gonna start singing and dancing, and they're gonna be like, 'Did anybody notice that we were just singing and dancing? What's that all about?' It's basically the repercussions of living in that kind of world."

Whedon went on to say that the musical show can be seen as a partner to a previous episode of "Buffy" titled "Hush", which found Buffy and her friends unable to speak for the entire show.

The musical episode is scheduled to air on UPN this November during the ratings sweeps period.
