Details about Joss Whedon's British, "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" spin-off are being revealed.
As AllPop previously reported, the BBC is currently working on "The Watcher", a "Buffy" related series that would focus on the character of Giles (who looks after the vampire slayer), played by Anthony Stewart Head.
According to Mr. Showbiz.com, the series will revolve around the "Watcher" council that supervises vampire slayers.
Head, who is British, said the new show will be darker and more adult than "Buffy" and will also be created by "Buffy" mastermind Joss Whedon.
"After Buffy died [in the show's WB finale], I asked him whether there was much more for me to do," Head told zap2it.com. "He said 'Look, you know, this show is not called " The Watcher," it is about Buffy, but how would you feel if there was a show called " The Watcher" and we made it in Britain.'"
