"Felicity" is back on the WB in one week.
The university drama starring Keri Russell will take back its time slot on the WB with six brand new episodes, TV Guide Reports.
The show went on a hiatus during the winter and was replaced by "Jack & Jill".
On the last episode of "Felicity" before the break, fans saw a villainous character fire a gun during a Christmas party that all of the show's characters attended.
Buzz about the possible victim has been flying around the Internet ever since, which proves that the show is much better off than it was last year.
"I was 100 percent sure we were cancelled," executive producer J.J. Abrams told TV Guide.
The show's producers and the WB decided to give the series a push and didn't air any reruns of "Felicity" (the reason for the show's hiatus). The result was impressive ratings.
But good ratings don't mean "Felicity" will return next season. The decision not to run old episodes during a season is a costly one for the network.
"Financially, it's a big burden," said WB co-president Jordan Levin. "It's going to be tough to continue to take that hit."
But Levin went on to say that if "Felicity" continues to perform well, "we'll find a way to bring it back".
The new episodes will find the character of Ruby (Amy Smart) returning, the introduction of a new character (a therapist), played by Teri Garr ("Tootsie"), and the on-going love triangle between Ben, Felicity and Noel.
