'Buffy' demon hints at show's history
If "Buffy" fans thought they recognized the cranky vengeance demon from last week's episode, they were right.
In the episode titled "Older And Far Away", the vengeance demon Halfrek made an appearance and in a brief scene, the writers alluded to the fact that she was an old acquaintance of Spike's. Halfrek referred to the character as "William" which was his pre-vampire name, zap2it.com reports.
Kali Rocha played the demon and she also portrayed Cecily, the stuck-up English girl who Spike/William used to pen poetry for in Victorian London.
"Buffy" fans met Cecily in the Nov. 2000 episode "Fool For Love" when she told Spike/William: "You're beneath me," which sent him snivelling out into the streets where he eventually met up with the vampire Drusilla who turned him into a vampire.
