'Buffy' wedding gets messy
The upcoming wedding between "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" characters Xander and Anya isn't going to go smoothly.
According to E! Online gossip queen "Wanda", Buffy and Willow will serve as the bridesmaids and the episode will feature new characters in the form of Xander's relatives and old demon pals of Anya (who used to be a demon).
Before the ceremony begins, an old man walks up to Xander and tells him "'Don't get married today. It's a huge mistake.' When Xander ignores him, the man claims to be Xander himself and shows him a vision of the couple's future in which they're both deeply unhappy. Xander ducks out of the ceremony, but Anya confronts the man and reveals he's a demon impostor," Wanda said during an online chat.
There will also be a Buffy/Spike subplot during the wedding episode. The vampire and the slayer are apparently "on the outs" during the show and Spike shows up to the wedding with a "sleazy date".
Wanda also said that previous reports claiming Seth Green ("Austin Powers") is returning to "Buffy" are false.
Seth apparently told Wanda that although the UPN network has been hinting at his brief return, he hasn't even been called about possibly making a guest appearance on the show. Seth also told her that he doesn't even watch "Buffy" anymore.
